Flowers & Tributes

Flowers can play a significant role in many funeral ceremonies and offer a simple and effective way of paying tribute to either the deceased or remaining family and friends. These can range from simple bouquets, wreaths and sprays to elaborate coffin displays and original specialist designs.

Flower choices

In recent times, we have seen an increase in bespoke arrangements to reflect the lifestyle, personality and interests of the deceased. These can range from simple worded tributes to more detailed displays reflecting things personal to the deceased. We work closely with specialist florists locally, who can help and advise you on your choice of flowers, colours and styles, to add a more personal touch fitting to your loved one.

What to do after the ceremony

You may also want to consider what you would like to do with the flowers after the ceremony, such as donating them to the local hospitals, hospices or nursing homes locally. You can also specify if the bringing of flowers is to be restricted to close friends and family. At Haydock, we are happy to advise you on this. After the funeral, we are able to collect the cards from the flowers and tributes and return these to you as keepsake, along with a list of those who have sent flowers.

Things to consider

We will provide as much or as little input into your flower decision as you need. Over many years, we understand that a flower choice can be personal and will liaise closely with you to ensure that your exact needs are met.
